Putting off your mathematics requirement? Hesitate no longer. Improve your mathematics background with the January Term course, Math 005: Basic Math Skills (MURPHY call number 10059). January Term registration starts on Monday, Nov. 15.

This noncredit, tuition-free course is designed to prepare students for Math 100, Mathematical Sampler, and Math 101, Finite Mathematics. The only cost is the text and a nominal registration fee. Students may reserve a spot in a spring math course during the first week of January Term, subject to completing the Math 005 requirements during January Term.

Students will participate in lectures and discussions from 6 to 8:30 p.m. Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays. They also may work with tutors from 4 to 10 p.m. Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays and 6 to9 p.m. Sundays in the Mathematics Resource Center, Room 235, O’Shaughnessy Science Hall.
