January Term class helps you prepare for Math 100, 101 St. Thomas Newsroom November 11, 1999 Putting off your mathematics requirement? Hesitate no longer. Improve your mathematics background with the January Term course, Math 005: Basic Math Skills (MURPHY call number 10059). January Term registration starts on Monday, Nov. 15.This noncredit, tuition-free course is designed to prepare students for Math 100, Mathematical Sampler, and Math 101, Finite Mathematics. The only cost is the text and a nominal registration fee. Students may reserve a spot in a spring math course during the first week of January Term, subject to completing the Math 005 requirements during January Term.Students will participate in lectures and discussions from 6 to 8:30 p.m. Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays. They also may work with tutors from 4 to 10 p.m. Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays and 6 to9 p.m. Sundays in the Mathematics Resource Center, Room 235, O’Shaughnessy Science Hall.Questions?
