Dr. Eric Reitan, assistant professor of philosophy at Okalahoma State University, will give two talks on campus on Thursday, Feb. 22, in Room 126 (auditorium), John R. Roach Center for the Liberal Arts:

  • Noon-1 p.m.: “Is God a Pacifist?”
  • 3:30-5 p.m.: “Does the Argument From Evil Assume a Consequentialist Morality?”

Both talks are open to the public.

Reitan has published more than a dozen articles on topics of philosophy and religion, pacifism and environmental ethics. He is a lead facilitator in the “Alternatives to Violence” project, an international conflict-resolution program providing workshops in prisons and various community settings. His visit is sponsored by UST’s Aquinas Chair in Philosophy and Theology.
