Thinking about a major in social work? Come to an information session from noon to 1 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 7, in Room 154, Murray-Herrick Campus Center.

Learn about the major and a new major offered by the School of Social Work: chemical dependency counseling. And learn about interesting major-minor combinations, too.

Social workers do the majority of counseling in Minnesota. If you are interested in helping individuals, families and communities reach their full potential, a social work major may be of interest to you. The St. Thomas B.A. degree in social work leads to licensure as a L.S.W. (Licensed Social Worker.)

The chemical dependency counseling major to be offered next fall by the School of Social Work and is ideal for students looking to work directly with individuals and families who are receiving treatment for chemical dependency.
