A Graduate School of Business fall kickoff and an open house at the John M. Morrison Center for Entrepreneurship will be held Tuesday, Sept. 5, in Terrence Murphy Hall of St. Thomas’ Minneapolis campus.

The kickoff will run from 5 to 8 p.m. and is open to new and current students, faculty, alumni and friends. The event will include a free dinner in the atrium and will provide an opportunity to meet other students and faculty and learn about GSB programs, including discounted programs for alumni.

The kickoff also will include a new-student orientation and the opportunity for all students to take care of details like I.D.s, parking permits and that back-to-school ritual, buying books.

Bill Estrem, who holds the Honeywell Endowed Chair in Global Technology Mangement, will speak on “Creating Value on the Internet” from 7:15 to 7:45 p.m. in Thornton Auditorium, followed by a question-and-answer session.

For more information about the kickoff, call the Graduate School of Business at (651) 962-4220.

In connection with the GSB kickoff, the John M. Morrison Center for Entrepreneurship will hold an open house from 5 to 7:15 p.m. The center is located on the fourth floor of Terrence Murphy Hall.

Whether you are a student or just interested in entrepreneurship, the open house will offer the chance to meet the center’s faculty and staff and learn more about its undergraduate and graduate degrees; nondegree programs in small business development, franchising, family business and product innovation; and help for aspiring and established entrepreneurs though one-on-one consulting and access to community resources.

For more information about the center’s open house, call (651) 962-4400.
