For anyone wishing spring break would come sooner, STAR and RHA have plans for you! Here are special events planned for Spring Break Fever Week, March 10-14.

Monday, March 10

  • Head south of the border. Come to the coffee house and open mic in the UV Café in Cretin Hall. Desserts from Café Latte will be served. Show and food start at 8 p.m.

Tuesday, March 11

  • Ann Mosey will perform at 11:45 a.m. in Scooter’s. The show is free and open to the public.
  • Stalemate will perform in Scooter’s with Burden Within at 8:30 p.m. Cover charge is $2 with your UST ID, or $3 for general admission.

Wednesday, March 12

  • Battle of the sexes: Dowling, Brady and Murray halls are hosting this event from 7 to 9 p.m. in Koch Commons. Come battle and prove which is the stronger sex!

Thursday, March 13

  • Luau dance: Ireland and John Paul II halls are letting you come out and celebrate Hawaiian style from 8 p.m. to midnight in the Ireland Hall basement.
  • Sue Gereris, a newly formed band, will perform in Scooter’s at 8 p.m. Also performing will be Down and Above, a Minneapoilis alternative rock group. Being recognized as one of America’s top 40 unsigned bands, they draw a large following.

Friday, March 14

  • Free Camp Snoopy and movie passes under the arches at 4:30 p.m. These went in just about 30 seconds last time, so get there early for a chance to get one. They are handed out on a first-come, first-served basis.
  • "Tune-In" the game show is back. Name that tune and win prizes at 7:30 p.m. in O’Shaughnessy Educational Center auditorium.
  • Krashing Koch from 8 p.m. to 1 a.m.! RHA is sponsoring this event full of root beer kegs, Cruisin’ World games and a mini Casino Night — Black Jack included.
