Give to the Max Day Returns Tomorrow

Give to the Max Day is back.

Last year, more than 38,000 people supported their favorite nonprofit organizations on Give to the Max Day, sponsored by GiveMN.org. In total, Minnesotans gave $14 million to Minnesota charities (including $43,000 to the University of St. Thomas), making Minnesota’s first Give to the Max Day the most successful one-day online fundraising drive in the event's history (smashing the previous record of $3.8 million raised in Dallas).

This year, Give to the Max Day will be held tomorrow, Tuesday, Nov. 16, and event organizers are offering  incentives to those who participate:

  1. Each hour of the daylong event, a donor will be selected randomly to receive a “Golden Ticket,” meaning that $1,000 will be added to his or her charitable gift.
  2. A $20,000 and a $10,000 prize will be awarded to the top two nonprofit organizations in the Twin Cities and the top two nonprofits in Greater Minnesota that attract the largest numbers of individual donors.

Leader boards on GiveMN.org will track which nonprofits are ahead of the pack. Learn more about Give to the Max Day by visiting GiveMN.org, which includes links to supporting Facebook and Twitter sites.
