Faculty-staff golf league forming
A faculty-staff golf league will form soon, based on the overwhelming response to last week's Bulletin Today article gauging interest in organizing one.
Organizers have met with the operators of Highland National Golf Course and have reserved 4 to 6 p.m. Tuesdays for approximately 60 to 70 players.
Many of you responded on behalf of peers, and a more accurate count of those interested is needed, in addition to contact information for all members. A firm count is needed for Highland National by Sunday, April 1, so respond today!
The cost per nine-hole round is $20, and Highland National asks that leagues provide the first half of the season's payment up front. A 14-week commitment is being considered, so up-front costs would be approximately $140 per player.
League format is yet to be determined, as it will depend primarily on the number of golfers as well as varied skill levels. Everyone who is interested is encouraged to respond. The league will be flighted and handicapped so to keep the focus on having fun and playing golf with friends and co-workers.
