Faculty and staff invited to advise student clubs St. Thomas Newsroom October 22, 1999 Faculty and staff members: Interested in advising a student club or organization? The Center for Student Leadership and Activities needs you! Advisers have the opportunity to forge mentoring relationships with students through event-planning, organizational development and leadership activities. This is a chance to offer your expertise, energy and life experience to students beyond the scope of your usual professional interaction. If you are interested, please contact Lisa Lisiecki, assistant director of leadership education in the center, (651) 962-6195, or firstname.lastname@example.org.The center also is interested in compiling a complete list of student groups, clubs and organizations. If you know of a student organization in your office or department that may not have registered with the center, please forward the organization’s name and contact person to Lisiecki.Although about 60 organizations have registered this year, the center is aware that there still are more organizations available. It is important to have such a list since students often call or visit the center to be directed to opportunities for co-curricular involvement. In addition, the center hopes to assist the Aquinas yearbook to adequately cover as many events and organizations as possible for this year’s edition.
