Exempt (salaried) employee fall meeting is Wednesday, Sept. 23 St. Thomas Newsroom September 21, 2009 Each fall and spring term the Exempt Staff Council will organize a meeting with exempt (salaried) staff at St. Thomas. Meetings will be held on topics that constituents propose as hot topics. Based on feedback from the April 2009 exempt staff meeting, suggestions indicated a need to learn more about the performance appraisal system at UST and how an employee is designated as exempt vs. non-exempt. It also was suggested that there be an opportunity at the meeting to ask general questions of Human Resources. In response to these requests, guest speakers Julie Schwalbach and Peter Ronza will discuss these topics at the fall meeting Wednesday, Sept. 23. The meeting will be simulcast from 1 to 3 p.m. at both the Minneapolis (Room 201, Opus Hall) and St. Paul (Room 304, Murray-Herrick Campus Center) campuses. If you are unable to attend but would like to have a question asked on your behalf, or just have general questions or thoughts, e-mail the council. If you would like to submit a question or comment anonymously, use the contact form located on the Exempt Staff Web site.
