Dr. Monica Hartmann Named Inaugural Rome CORE Semester Faculty Director

The Office of Study Abroad is pleased to announce that the inaugural faculty directors have been selected for the new St. Thomas in Rome: The CORE Semester study abroad program. Dr. Monica Hartmann, Economics Department, will lead the first iteration of the program in fall 2016 and teach ECON 251 Principles of Macroeconomics.

Hartmann has been teaching at St. Thomas since 2000. She earned her Ph.D. in economics from the University of Virginia and her B.S. in economics from John Carroll University. While at St. Thomas, she has been teaching managerial economics, industrial organization, law and economics, and principles of macroeconomics.

Dr. Kanishka Chowdhury, English Department, has been selected to be the faculty director in fall 2017.
