In partnership with the Multicultural Forum on Workplace Diversity, the University of St. Thomas presented the Diversity Insights Series. The series is offered quarterly and features individual speakers or panels focused on current and emerging issues on workplace diversity and inclusion topics. In November, Steve Lewis, executive director of talent acquisition for Deluxe Corp., and Stacy Van Meter, talent community manager and social media strategist, also at Deluxe, presented “Mission Possible: Linking Diversity and Marketing Strategies Using Social Media.” The discussion focused on innovative ways to attract talent online and use social media to enhance diversity recruiting efforts. In February, Robin Silverman, vice president, Right Management, led “Action Planning to Create a Highly Engaged Multicultural Workforce.” The interactive session allowed participants to collaborate to create an action plan based on a case study on employee engagement.
