St. Kate's Theater Season Opens Nov. 9 With 'Crimes of the Heart'

The St. Catherine University Department of Music and Theater will stage its fall production, “Crimes of the Heart,” Nov. 9-13.

Warm-hearted, zany and imaginative, this Pulitzer Prize-winning play by by Beth Henley teems with humanity and humor as it examines the plight of three young Mississippi sisters betrayed by their passions.

Performances will be held in the Frey Theater at St. Catherine University:

  • 7 p.m. Wednesday-Saturday, Nov. 9-12
  • 2 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 13

Tickets are $10 for general admission and free for all ACTC students, faculty and staff with a valid ACTC ID. Tickets may be reserved by calling (651) 690-6700.

The season opener is directed by Teresa Lyons-Hegdahl, St. Kate’s director of theater. The cast and crew include UST students Allie Cleary, Perry Chicos and John Hofmeister, and SCU students Jasmine Branum, Katie LaMotte, Collette Devereaux, Kathryn Ramage and Rebecca Schilling.
