As part of its commitment to diversity, the College of Business partners with the Twin Cities chapters of the National Black MBA Association (NBMBAA), the National Society of Hispanic MBAs (NSHMBA) and the National Association of Asian American Professionals (NAAAP). As a partner with these organizations, the College of Business hosts meetings and events, encourages student  membership, sends representatives to national conferences and assists with program and chapter development.

St. Thomas has two representatives, a staff member and a student, at NSHMBA board meetings to serve in an advisory capacity. St. Thomas also works with NSHMBA to offer Destination MBA, which encourages members of the Hispanic community to consider the value of an M.B.A. With the  NBMBAA, several Minnesota companies and the Carlson School of Management, St. Thomas works to recruit employees and students of color to come to Minnesota.

In addition to this involvement with professional organizations, the College of Business co-sponsors and organizes the Multicultural Forum (see the calendar of events on Page 37 for more information), provides sponsorship for The Business Journal Minority Business Awards, assists in the MinnesotaPrivate Colleges consortium tent at the Juneteenth celebration, and gives more than $10,000 in diversity scholarships annually.
