Clubs: College Republicans, Delta Sigma Pi, Theology St. Thomas Newsroom October 28, 1999 College RepublicansCollege Republicans will meet from noon to 1 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 28, in Room 155, Murray-Herrick Campus Center.Delta Sigma PiDelta Sigma Pi has 19 pledges for fall semester: Doug Belt, Tina Briggs, Bridget Delany, Michelle DesMarais, Ben Fangman, Stacie Garvert, Matt Georgopulos, Roxanne Heyer, Emily Hutton, Shanna Iwen, Brian Kalis, Katie Manzel, John Oteng, Carrie Rammer, Sean Regan, Elena Tamura, Matt Whitehead, Jill Wilson and Joselyn Wilson.While the coed business fraternity emphasizes a professional attitude toward business, it is not a lost fact that people like to have fun. The pledges are planning their social event with a Hollywood theme at Fort Snelling Club. Members and pledges heard Chuck Lauer speak Oct. 11 and went on a hayride Oct. 15. Some members worked at the Metrodome to raise money on Oct. 17 and some other members and pledges worked Oct. 24. The fraternity also had a movie night Oct. 21, when they watched “The Big Lebowski.”In order to give back to the community, the pledge class will spend two days at Sharing and Caring Hands in Minneapolis to play games, read books, and talk with children.Theology ClubTheology Club, which regularly meets on Thursdays, will not meet this week.
