'Challenges and Opportunities in Community Partnering' workshop to be held Feb. 21

The Service-Learning Office is pleased to invite faculty and staff to participate in a special workshop, “Challenges and Opportunities in Community Partnering,” to be held from 3:30 to 5 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 21, in Room 208, O’Shaughnessy Educational Center.

Dr. Julie Plaut, associate director of Minnesota Campus Compact, will facilitate a program about preparing students and faculty for engagement with people from many different backgrounds regarding age, ethnicity, economics, religion, sexual orientation and physical ability. Although the workshop will focus on service-learning experiences, all interested faculty and staff are encouraged to attend.

Send an e-mail to Dr. Ellen Kennedy, director of service learning, by Wednesday, Feb. 15, to register for the workshop. Please include relevant contact information, department affiliation and any previous service-learning experience.
