The final fall meeting of the Catholicism and Feminism discussion group will be held at noon Monday, Dec. 6, in the Luann Dummer Center for Women, Room 103, O’Shaughnessy Educational Center.

The focus for this discussion will be women and motherhood. The main reading will be “Social Constructions of Mothering: A Thematic Overview” by Evelyn Nakano Glenn. Her talk also is the introductory chapter of Mothering Ideology, Experience and Agency. Copies can be picked up in the women’s center beginning Tuesday, Nov. 23.

In addition, the group will revisit John Paul II’s letter “On the Dignity and Vocation of Women,” particularly those sections dealing with women and motherhood.

All are invited; please feel free to bring a bag lunch.
