Catholic studies program to host information session Feb. 4 Patricia Sirek January 5, 2010 The University of St. Thomas will host an information session about its Master of Arts degree program in Catholic studies at 6:30 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 4, at the university’s Center for Catholic Studies. The center is located in Sitzmann Hall, 2055 Summit Ave., St. Paul.Light refreshments will be served, and the public is welcome. Undergirded by courses in theology, philosophy and history, the program explores Catholicism’s contributions to world literature, art, music, architecture, law, political systems, and the social and natural sciences. It also encourages critical reflection and debate on contemporary and cross-culture issues related to Catholicism. The program welcomes students of all faiths.
