The first of four all-Bach concerts in churches on or near Summit will be broadcast live by MPR at 10 a.m. Saturday, March 15, in St. Mary’s Chapel on the seminary campus. From there, the party heads to the Chapel of St. Thomas Aquinas.
The first is scheduled for Monday, March 10, and will focus on the goals of Catholic Mission, Diversity and Inclusive Culture, and Globalization. Faculty, staff, students and alumni are invited to attend.
The campaign has never focused on how much people give, only that they participate. The total faculty-staff contribution provides significant support for student scholarships, departmental priorities, student emergency funds, student activities and the Annual Fund.
He served in the U.S. Army's Third Ranger Battalion during WW II, was wounded and recovered in Sicily, converted to Catholicism, and was a longtime professor of philosophy at St. Thomas. He retired in 1990.
Beginning March 5, Campus Ministry and the Wellness Center invite students, faculty and staff of all faith traditions to take part in a 40-day Mind, Body and Spirit Challenge to quiet their minds, renew their bodies and foster their spirits.
