Associate Vice Provost for Global and Local Engagement Dr. Camille George has appointed Dr. Kimberly Vrudny as the director of civic engagement and Dr. Elise Amel as the director of sustainability initiatives within the newly formed Center for Global and Local Engagement.
He was married to Bonnie Rath, a former employee in the Service Center; brother to Michael Rath (Physical Plant) and Leann Martens (Service Center); brother-in-law to Jeffrey Martens (Physical Plant) and Barbara Rath (Registrar’s Office); and uncle to Wes McCarty (Physical Plant), Cassandra Watson (Service Center) and Daniel Rath (Physical Plant).
She was the mother of John Fechter, program lead and faculty member in the Master of Science Technology Management program in the School of Engineering and Executive Fellow with the Veritas Institute of the Opus College of Business.
St. Thomas student Luke Adams is returning home from Japan after being hit by a car and severely injured. His family and friends have planned a fundraiser and homecoming event on Aug. 22 for his return.
