Campus Ministry Asks: Are you prepared for Christmas?

The trees on the quads are full of lights, and the Nativity sits above the Arches. The campus is prepared for Christmas. Are you?

Campus Ministry invites all members of the campus community to incorporate the Liturgy of the Hours into their Advent season. Since Christians cannot pray without ceasing unless they first intentionally pray at specific times, Campus Ministry invites the campus community to join it from 5:05 to 5:20 p.m. Tuesdays and Thursdays for evening prayer. Evening prayers, or Vespers, will be held Dec. 7, 9, 14 and 16 in the Florance Chapel. (Evening prayers will resume in February.)

The Florance Chapel is located in the lower level of the Chapel of St. Thomas Aquinas. All members of the St. Thomas community are welcome and invited to attend.

The Liturgy of the Hours is an ancient Christian tradition in which the church offers praises to God and intercedes for the salvation of the world. In this prayer, Christians entrust their day and all their activities to the Lord.
