Bus 200 students are sponsoring a silent auction and dance to benefit Listening House, a drop-in, day shelter in St. Paul.

The event will be held from 6 to 10 p.m. Sunday, March 12, in Room 304, Murray-Herrick Campus Center.

Tickets are $20 ($10 for students and children) and include hors d’oeuvres, beverages and music by Hot Heads swing band. Tickets can be purchased in Room 201, McNeely Hall, or by calling (651) 962-5025 or e-mailing bus200@stthomas.edu.

Auction items include:

  • Certificates from restaurants, such as Café Odyssey, Cherokee Sirloin Room and Boca Chica
  • Certificates for photo sessions, dance lessons, oil changes and many more services
  • Tickets for theaters, St. Paul Saints game, a bed and breakfast and more
  • Clothing, artwork and other goods

To offset the costs of this event, students are invited to donate their evening meal Sunday. Each meal translates to a $2 donation to Listening House. Look for sign-up sheets at the cafeteria or e-mail jmgabler@stthomas.edu to make your donation. The goal is to have 800 meals donated.
