'Are You Ready for Graduation?' Presentation is Today

Representatives from Oracle Academy will give a presentation, “Are You Ready for Graduation?” today, Tuesday, Feb. 22. The event will be held from noon to 1 p.m. in Room 313, O’Shaughnessy Science Hall.

Learn how to transform existing assignments into an impressive technology portfolio, discover the general skills needed when looking for a job with technology leaders such as Oracle, a business software company, and create an attention-grabbing résumé and cover letter.

Hear about the ThinkQuest Application Development Competition that challenges students to apply their critical thinking, communication and technology skills to a real-world problem. Teams research, develop and test their solution before presenting it to a global audience.

Oracle Academy is often asked how students studying computer science, engineering, management information systems, or information technology can prepare themselves to be job-ready when they graduate from college. In response to this challenge, the academy has developed this informative and motivating lecture for college students of all ages.

Everyone is welcome. Pizza and sodas will be provided on a first-come, first-served basis while supplies last.

This event is sponsored by the Computer and Information Sciences Department.
