Do you have what it takes to be a STAR? Applications are being accepted for positions on the St. Thomas Activities and Recreation board, which provides campuswide programming for the University of St. Thomas. The board is responsible for such events as Homecoming, Spring Fling, comedians and concerts.

Application packets for all positions, excluding lectures, will be available Monday, Feb. 5, in the Center for Student Leadership and Activities Office, Room 111, Murray-Herrick Campus Center. Positions available are president, administrator, finance, public relations, advertising (two), concerts, Scooter’s, special events (two), expeditions and entertainment.

Applications for STAR president are due by 4:30 p.m. Monday, Feb. 12, to the CSLA office.

Information sessions for all other STAR positions will be held at noon Tuesday, Feb. 13, in the Koch Fireside Room, and at 8 p.m. Monday, Feb. 19, in Room 154, Murray-Herrick Campus Center. Applications for all the STAR positions, other than president, are due by 4:30 p.m. Friday, March 2, to the CSLA office.

All STAR interns receive a $2,000 stipend. If you want the chance to build your leadership skills and make an impact on the programming at your university, and have fun at the same time, a STAR internship is the position for you.
