Application deadline for Up 'til Dawn executive board positions is Thursday
Are you passionate about raising money to help end childhood cancer? Up 'til Dawn is looking for students to fill two positions on its executive board. Available positions are finance chair and morale co-chair (see position descriptions below).
Applications are due by 5 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 18. Interviews will begin the following day. For more information e-mail Melissa Zierden.
Morale co-chair
The morale co-chair is responsible for motivating the participants and the executive board about Up ‘til Dawn. This person oversees the morale captains, develops a spirit points system for teams, and creates activities to keep participants excited about Up ‘til Dawn.
What kind of person is best for the job? Energetic, organized, able to get a diverse group of people excited about the cause of St. Jude, motivated, and able to lead and manage a group of morale captains
Finance chair
The finance chair works closely with the assistant director, St. Jude representative and UST advisers to develop and monitor the executive board to secure a budget for each individual position's estimated costs, submits budget request forms to USG and cooperative programming contracts to STAR, and ensures UtD funds are spent responsibly.
What kind of person is best for the job?: Detail-oriented, organized, knows how to use Microsoft Excel or could easily learn, likes to plan in advance, able to see big picture of the programs and also small details to ensure everything is fiscally covered; interest in finance or accounting a plus.
