The UST Libraries Food-for-Fines drive, held in conjunction with the English Department’s Common Context “Hunger” theme, will continue from now until the end of fall semester on Thursday, Dec. 22.
This food drive offers library patrons the opportunity to donate nonperishable food items in exchange for waived library fines. One item equals $2 in fines; in addition, all library fines paid in cash between now and the end of the semester can be donated to the drive at the request of the patron.
Nonperishable food items may be brought to circulation desks at the Archbishop Ireland Memorial Library or the O’Shaugnessy-Frey Library Center. All donations will be given to the Francis Basket Food Shelf.
