The 2011-12 seasonal influenza activity remains sporadic at this time; however, according to the Minnesota Department of Health (MDH), last year’s reported cases of the flu began increasing around the first of December (just in time for finals), becoming widespread after the first of the year until the end of March. If you have not yet received a flu shot this year, take the time to protect yourself and others.
Health Services St. Paul will hold the next flu clinic from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Monday, Nov. 21, in the lower level of Koch Commons. Flu shots also will continue to be available any time without an appointment at both Health Services St. Paul and Minneapolis during regular hours of operation for all students, faculty and staff. Cost of the flu shot will be submitted to your health insurance plan or $20 if you prefer to pay cash or submit it to your UST account.
