GiveMN will sponsor the third annual Give to the Max Day today, Wednesday, Nov. 16. The theme for this year’s online giving campaign is “The Great Minnesota Give Together.”

Last year, more than 40,000 donors supported their favorite Minnesota nonprofit organizations and gave more than $10 million to Minnesota charities during the 24-hour event. To support the University of St. Thomas visit GiveMN.org.

Event organizers are offering incentives to participate and opportunities to maximize gifts:

• The Golden Ticket: Each hour of the daylong event, a donor will be selected randomly to receive a “Golden Ticket,” meaning that $1,000 will be added to his or her charitable gift. One lucky donor could have $10,000 added to his or her gift if picked for the “Golden Ticket” at 11:59 p.m.
• The Grand Prize: A $15,000 and a $10,000 prize will be awarded to the top two nonprofit organizations. Third place will be awarded a $7,500 prize. Fourth through 10th place will receive $5,000 prize awards.
