Students from the Summer Session 1 Aquinas Scholars honors seminar, “Dogs: Environment, Society, and Representation,” will discuss their research posters with the campus community on Wednesday, July 6.
The poster session will run from 11 a.m. to noon in Room 108, O’Shaughnessy-Frey Library Center. The research covers topics from dog park use to service-dog training and how people characterize their relationships with their dogs.
Aquinas Scholars honors seminars are team-taught, two-credit courses that explore a topic from two different disciplines. This seminar addressed the topic of dogs in human society and urban environments from literary studies and environmental sociology approaches.
The campus community is invited to browse the posters and chat with the student researchers. Refreshments will be provided.
