‘Engaging employees to do great things,’ Leadership Academy rolls out annual catalog, revamps Web site

The Leadership Academy announces two new developments to help every St. Thomas employee meet his or her personal and professional development needs and "do great things."

• You now can take a look at an annual catalog, plan your calendar and register early for offerings. A printed catalog will be sent to each department the week of Sept. 8.

• A new-and-improved Leadership Academy Web site was launched last week, replacing Training Online. Visit www.stthomas.edu/hr/leadership today for detailed information on professional development offerings, instructor profiles and easy online registration. You’ll also be able to update a personal profile, indicating your areas of interest.

The Leadership Academy encourages excellence, fostering growth and development at all professional levels. "We’re offering ‘Just in Time’ skills training that many staff and faculty say they need," said Edna Comedy, associate vice president of human resources. "There are also a number of sessions focusing on personal issues, such as "Knowing How and When to Intervene With Your Aging Parent," and some thought-provoking topics, such as "Working With You is Killing Me."
