Volunteer to be a small-group facilitator at February events that focus on race and privilege

Students, staff and faculty: Your help is needed
Multicultural Student Services and Campus Ministry are hosting a series of events in February, focusing on issues of race and privilege. Faculty, staff and students are asked to volunteer as small-group facilitators.
Volunteers will be required to attend two training events that will provide unique opportunities to dialogue about race, power and privilege. Students will learn valuable, transferable skills that can be applied to any field of study, including education, business, psychology and personal development. A session regarding expectations for volunteers will be held on Tuesday, Nov. 28. (See details below.)
Mark your calendars:
- Information session on spring dialogue facilitator training, from noon to 1 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 28, in the Hormel Room, second floor, Murray-Herrick Campus Center.
- "RACE: Are We So Different?" Science Museum of Minnesota visit: Wednesday, Jan. 31, 2007, at the museum. (Time to be announced.)
- February dialogues, "In God’s Image: Reflections on Race and Privilege": from 4 to 6 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 7, 2007, in Room 304, Murray-Herrick Campus Center. (Archbishop Harry Flynn will be present on Feb. 7 to speak about his pastoral letter on racism.) The dialogue will be held again from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 8, 2007, in Room 304, Murray-Herrick Campus Center.
