It’s important for you to know what your credit score is because it’s used by employers, loan officers, land owners, lenders, insurance companies, etc.

The following factors determine your credit score:

• Payment history (35 percent)
• Amounts owed (30 percent)
• Length of credit history (15 percent)
• New credit (10 percent)
• Types of credit used (10 percent)
