Open hearings scheduled next week on proposed strategic priorities
Two open hearings on proposed strategic priorities for the University of St. Thomas will be held the week of April 3. The first will be on Monday, April 3, in Room 201, Opus Hall ( Minneapolis campus). The second will be Tuesday, April 4, in Room 155, Murray-Herrick Campus Center (St. Paul campus). Both meetings are scheduled from noon to 1:15 p.m., and a light lunch will be provided.
All faculty, staff and students are welcome and encouraged to attend. A draft of the “Proposed Strategic Priorities: Planning for the Future” is available for viewing online. Posted there is also a “feedback” form for those who wish to respond by e-mail.

These hearings are part of a yearlong process to develop new strategic priorities for the University. Last fall Father Dennis Dease, president, proposed three themes – access, excellence and Catholic identity – as major directions for our next round of strategic planning and invited the community to suggest priorities within those themes (see Bulletin Today, Oct. 26, 2005).
At that time Father Dease also appointed a representative task force to lead this effort, drawing from nominations of various faculty, staff, student and alumni groups. The task force has developed a proposed set of priorities by listening to the community and drawing on six sources of information:
