IRT Tech Tip Tuesday: phone features
From Information Resources and Technologies
Over the past several weeks, IRT has brought you tips on how to use the various features of the Communité voice-mail system. This week’s tip looks at the call forwarding features available on your UST phone. The tips that follow are for the models pictured below.

Forwarding your calls
If you will be away from your office and would like to forward your calls to another extension or directly to voice mail, follow the instructions below.
Forward your calls using an ITE 4 phone
Note: You will hear the word “forward” repeated three times each time you lift the handset. This confirms that your phone is being forwarded. You still can dial as usual.

Call forward using an ITE 12 + or 12SD 12-line phone
Note: Call forward light will be on.

Forwarding on multi-line phone sets: If you have a multi-line set, you will need to choose the line you want to forward by pressing that line and making sure that there is a dial tone when you invoke the forward button. For multi-line phones, you forward calls per line, not per set.
Note: On a multi-line set, the FWD light could be on when a line is forwarded that appears on the set. Example: The department front desk phone may have a line appearance for the department chair’s phone. If the department chair’s phone forwards her line, the CFWD light lights up at the front desk. This does not mean that all lines on the multi-line phone are forwarded; only the department chair’s phone is forwarded.
