2005 International Education Center Photo Contest Winners Unknown January 6, 2006 Each year, St. Thomas students who have traveled abroad submit their photos for the International Education Photo Contest. Below are the best in two categories – A Sense of Place and An Intercultural Experience. During the 2004-05 academic year, a total of 829 students studied abroad. While Europe remains the top destination, 2004-05 saw a significant increase in the number of students traveling outside Europe, including four students at the American University in CairoA new destination was Mali, West Africa, where engineering, French and communication studies students collaborated to support onsite projects through mechanical design, language translation and video production.
