    Candidates named for the vice president for student affairs

    Candidates have been named for the position of vice president for student affairs. Open sessions to meet them are scheduled on the St. Paul and Minneapolis campuses. Please mark your calendars and plan to attend a session to meet the candidates.

    Dr. Dawn Williams
    Williams is dean for community development at Seton Hall University and previously served as dean of students at Marymount College Tarrytown. Williams has a B.A. in psychology from Illinois State University, an M.Ed. in counselor education and student personnel from the Pennsylvania State University, and an Ed.D. in higher and adult education from Teachers College, Columbia University.  Please meet Williams at open sessions on Tuesday, Dec. 2:

    Dr. Mark McCarthy
    McCarthy is assistant vice president for student affairs and dean of student development at Marquette University. McCarthy has a BA in psychology from the Pennsylvania State University, an M.A. in college student personnel administration from the University of Maryland, and a Ph.D. in educational administration from Marquette University. Please meet McCarthy at open sessions on Thursday, Dec. 4:

    Dr. Lucas Lamadrid
    Lamadrid is associate vice president for student affairs and dean of students at St. Vincent College in Latrobe, Pa., and previously served as assistant dean of students at Bellarmine University. Lamadrid has a BA in economics and English from Marquette University, an M.Div. from the University of Notre Dame, and a Ph.D. in religion and education from Duke University.  Please meet Lamadrid at open sessions on Monday, Dec. 8:

    Dr. Bonnie Hunter
    Hunter is associate provost for student affairs at Valparaiso University and previously served as associate dean at St. Olaf College. Hunter has a BA in English from Northwestern University, a master of counseling from Arizona State University, an M.B.A. from Texas Christian University, and a Ph.D. in higher education from the University of Minnesota. Please meet Hunter at open sessions on Wednesday, Dec. 10:

    Jane Canney
    Canney is vice president of human resources and marketing at Dakota Communities Inc., Eagan, and previously served as associate vice president for student development and athletics at the University of Minnesota. Canney has a BA in child psychology from the University of Minnesota, an M.A.T. In education from the University of St. Thomas, and an MA in industrial relations from the University of Minnesota. Please meet Canney at open sessions on Monday, Dec. 15:
