Learn about summer teaching opportunity on Dec. 10
LearningWorks at Blake will hold an informational meeting from noon to 1 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 10, in Room 154, Murray-Herrick Campus Center.
The program is looking for a diverse group of talented college students to teach in an innovative academic summer program for high-potential, low-income middle school students in Minneapolis. The program provides paid summer teaching internships, complete with training and classroom teaching experience.
LearningWorks offers:
- A salary of $2,500 for two months of full-time work, from June 9 to Aug. 8.
- Free home stays, if needed.
- Training in areas such as lesson planning and classroom management.
- A chance to work with a fun, cohesive, diverse faculty comprised of other students from around the country.
The application deadline for LearningWorks is Feb. 18.
