Forbes’ Susan Toscani to speak at ‘Faith and Work’ breakfasts

Susan Toscani, executive director of sales development at Forbes Magazine and founder of Catholic Women@Work, will speak at both the Minneapolis and St. Paul “Faith and Work” breakfasts this month.

She will discuss “Faith-Based Leadership and Why it Matters” at both breakfasts.

Designed for professionals from all faiths, the Faith and Work Breakfasts feature noted speakers who talk about personal challenges of faith-and-work integration. The cost of each breakfast is $15 and pre-registration is encouraged.

In St. Paul, the breakfast will begin at 7 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 16, at Assumption Catholic Church, 51 West Seventh St. For reservations or more information call Joan Gecik at (651) 228-1766, Ext. 15.

In Minneapolis, the breakfast will begin at 7 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 17, in Fleming Hall of St. Olaf Catholic Church, 215 S. Eighth St. For reservations or more information call Joan Miltenberger at (612) 332-7471, Ext. 279.

At both locations the talks run from 7:25 to 8:15 a.m. Following a short break, question-and-answer sessions are held until 9 a.m.

Toscani has worked in the U.S. magazine industry for more than 25 years in a variety of editorial, marketing and sales positions, and has been with Forbes since 1988. She is also the founder and executive director of Catholic Women@Work, a national professional association of Catholic businesswomen. She will discuss how faith-based leadership does matter in corporate America, especially in light of the failures in ethical leadership that have been in the news this past year.

The breakfasts are co-sponsored by St. Olaf Catholic Church, the Cathedral of St. Paul, Assumption Catholic Church and the John A. Ryan Institute for Catholic Social Thought at the University of St. Thomas.
