The Tutor/Mentor Program will have several work-study job openings for student directors for the 2001-2002 academic year.
The student director staff ensures the program’s effectiveness and success. Each director is responsible for administering the program for teachers and volunteers at two partner schools or programs. Student directors also serve as a resource for tutors, providing initiative and creativity in tutoring techniques and problem solving. Directors also play a significant role in the training of new tutors and in providing ongoing reflection and analysis for program participants.
If you have tutored for at least a semester in the Tutor/Mentor Program and this opportunity interests you, pick up an application in the Volunteer Center, Room 153, Murray-Herrick Campus Center. Applications are due Friday, April 12. All candidates will be interviewed the week of April 16, and student directors will be chosen by Monday, April 23.
