The UST Women’s Studies Program again is sponsoring a series of talks by faculty members engaged in research or creative work about women and gender. All talks will be held from 8:30 to 9:30 a.m. in the Luann Dummer Center for Women, Room 103, O’Shaughnessy Educational Center. Refreshments will be provided. Kelly James, Sociology Department, will present “Gendered Risk: Women and Addiction” for the first talk Tuesday, Oct. 17. She will discuss her research on the treatment of addiction, specifically how gender and family constructs are used by practitioners in the therapeutic process.
