The St. Thomas Employee Federal Credit Union will join other credit unions throughout the world in celebrating “The Credit Union Difference” on International Credit Union Day, Thursday, Oct. 21.
All St. Thomas employees are invited to stop by at these times:
Refreshments and a raffle for a $10 deposit to a CU share account will be available at both campuses. You don’t have to be a credit union member to win the raffle; your $10 prize will be used to open an account for you.
Membership information packets and cards, payroll deduction authorization forms and loan applications will be available.
What is the credit union difference? The main difference between a credit union and another financial institution is in the ownership. Each credit union is member owned, and each member has one vote. It is run as a democracy and is overseen by a volunteer board elected by its members.
