Housing Buyback Program

By 2016 St. Thomas is required to purchase 30 student rental houses in Macalester-Groveland and Merriam Park, to participate in renovating them, and to sell them to owner occupants.

Buyers must agree to the terms of a restrictive covenant, which requires owner-occupancy and excludes full-time students from occupancy unless they reside with a parent or grandparent. Read the covenant.
