Amy GageMeet the neighborhood relations manager
Higher education communicator and former journalist Amy Gage joined the University Relations staff as neighborhood relations manager at St. Thomas on June 4, 2014. She succeeded John Hershey, who retired May 31.
Amy was director of the marketing and communications departments at St. Catherine University (2007-2014) and at St. Olaf College in Northfield, Minn. (2001-2007). Previously she was an award-winning columnist ("Women in Business" and "On Balance: Issues that Affect Work and Home") at the Saint Paul Pioneer Press; a writer and editor at Mpls.St.Paul, Twin Cities Business and Minnesota Monthly magazines; and editor of the semi-weekly Northfield News.
"Positive" and "proactive" are her watchwords for neighborhood relations at St. Thomas. And she is a neighbor herself: Amy and her husband, David Studer, relocated to Merriam Park in September 2013 after raising their two sons in Northfield.
