Amy GageMeet the neighborhood relations manager
Higher education communications strategist and former journalist Amy Gage joined the University of St. Thomas as neighborhood relations manager in June 2014.
Previously Amy spent 13 years as director of marketing and communications at St. Catherine University and, before that, at St. Olaf College in Northfield, Minn. Prior to her career in higher education, she was an award-winning columnist on women and work at the Saint Paul Pioneer Press; a senior editor at Twin Cities Business, Minnesota Monthly and Mpls.St.Paul magazines; and editor of the Northfield News and Skyway News, a neighborhood newspaper for downtown Minneapolis.
"Positive" and "proactive" are her watchwords for neighborhood relations at St. Thomas. (Read more in this TommieMedia story.) And she is a neighbor herself: Amy and her husband, David Studer, moved to Merriam Park in September 2013 after raising their two sons in Northfield.
She writes a blog on women and midlife called "The Middle Stages."
