Incorporating Students on the Autism Spectrum Into a Kodály-Inspired Elementary Music Curriculum

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to research characteristics that children on the autism spectrum display, as well as suggested interventions for these children in a classroom setting. The resulting information was then applied to a Kodály-inspired music classroom, and lesson plans with adaptations and modifications for students on the autism spectrum were created.
