Dr. David Jenkins

David Jenkins is director of liturgical music at The Saint Paul Seminary School of Divinity, University of St. Thomas. His duties there include teaching church music and directing the worship music of the seminary. In addition Dr. Jenkins is an adjunct organ instructor for the music department of St. Thomas. He earned the D.M.A. in organ performance and the Performer's Certificate from The Eastman School of Music. He also holds degrees in organ from the University of Iowa and Oberlin Conservatory, and studied organ in Copenhagen at the Royal Danish Music Conservatory under a Marshall fellowship. His teachers have included Russell Saunders, Grethe Krogh, Delbert Disselhorst, Garth Peacock, and Howard Don Small. Dr. Jenkins is active as a recitalist, freelance choral accompanist, and church music workshop leader.
