The University of St. Thomas Department of Music has many instrumental and vocal performance opportunities - from small to large ensembles. All groups are open by audition for music and non-music majors. We are proud of our award winning ensembles, many of which have appeared at state, regional, national and international music conferences. Some of our ensembles tour nationally and internationally. Our ensembles perform in a variety of venues on and off campus, as well as for sacred events and services. St. Thomas prides itself for innovative programming and as such, UST ensembles have been responsible for commissioning new music by nationally and internationally recognized composers. Regular performances with guest artists from around the country and around the globe in every genre are the norm at UST. Finally, some UST ensembles appear regularly on commercial recording labels.
