Murray Delivered
Programs involve an alternative-delivery system for reaching educators
in schools and parishes reflecting an integration of faith and culture.
Although Murray-Institute-delivered, these programs are paid for by the
schools and dioceses they benefit.
The Murray
Institute Charter provides the framework for the design and implementation
of various programs offered through the Institute. In undertakings with
other dioceses, the faculty committee of the Murray Institute works with
each diocese to address their identified educational needs. The Murray
Institute strives to model a community that, through collaborative action
and dialogue, undertakes projects and experiences beyond what would be
possible through individual effort.
Programs
of the Murray Institute are focused on the professional and spiritual
development of those engaged in the educational ministry of the Church
within a Diocese. Central to the purpose of the Institute is that participants
gain a deeper understanding of the educational mission of the Church and
are supported in their work to carry out that mission.
In working
with each respective diocese in the design of programs, the Murray Institute
faculty committee endeavors to integrate their offerings within a matrix
of diocesan sponsored formation and professional development programs.
The involvement of the Murray Institute in each diocese should strengthen
the mission of the local church and contribute to an enlarged vision of
community emphasizing collaboration, networking, and dialogue.
