The Murray Institute is not a scholarship program for individual educators. Instead, its driving force is furthering the mission of the Church in the Archdiocese. Essential elements of the Murray Institute include:

• The attention given to the systemic needs of the Archdiocese;
  
  
• The quality of the relationships between the Archdiocese and the University of St. Thomas.
  

The Murray Institute can measure its success by the fact that Murray graduates have continued to contribute to the educational mission of the Archdiocese. This retention rate in the Archdiocese has consistently remained at or above 85%.

The heart of the Murray Institute’s vision is to provide a viable, systemic means by which dedicated Catholic educators can be deeply formed in their faith.
