The Murray Institute is unique in at least four ways:

• It is self-funded through endowments resulting from the collaboration between the University of St. Thomas and the Archdiocese;
  
  
• Its programs are initiated by a committee of faculty and Archdiocesan representatives;
  
  
• The Murray Institute's Faculty Committee select cohort participants who will most support the mission of the Catholic Church;
  
  
• Finally, admission to Murray Institute programs assumes cooperation of the individual's parish/school community.
