As a member of two consortia, MTLA and CLIC, Ireland library loans directly to those with valid id's or library cards from each institution in the two consortia, except St. John's University (Ireland books needed by St. John's patrons are best requested through interlibrary loan).

Ireland Library offers Friends of the Library privileges to alumni, clergy and parish professionals. There is a six book limit for Friends of the Library, and all borrowers must present a proper barcoded card to check out books.

Others who wish to borrow Ireland Library materials should contact their local library to place an interlibrary loan request.
