Fintan Moore  is a native of Ireland
and a fluent Irish Gaelic speaker. He is a lifelong student of the language and holds an MA in Irish Language and Literature from Trinity College Dublin.

Mr. Moore has almost twenty years experience teaching Irish Gaelic. In Ireland he has taught high-school students and is currently on the faculty of the Irish Gaelic Language Center of the National University of Ireland, Galway. In the U.S. he teaches within the local community and at the University of St. Thomas.

“This course has given me a chance to learn about a language and culture that I couldn’t find at any other college.”

 

Fall Semester 2002 Topics Course:
IRGA297-01 Introduction to the pronunciation, structure and culture of  Irish Gaelic by developing basic skills in conversation, writing and reading. Progress is evaluated through classroom interaction (dialogue, role-playing, oral drills, etc.), written assignments, song-learning and an interview in Irish with the instructor.
